Inspired by Dadaism and the concept of nothingness, I collaborated with Oluwajimi , Creative Director of Bloke for their Spring/Summer 2019 collection, titled “About Nothing.”
According to Globe-Trotter Mag, Oluwajimi’s ‘latest collection was designed to blur the boundaries between knitting and tailoring, and at the same time switch techniques between both knit and tailoring with the use of black, white, and gray colors’.
My poem titled ‘imagine’ was silkscreened on fabrics and cut in a way to create a distorted reading of the poem on the garments. They added that ‘the technique allows Oluwajimi to emulate the ‘Dada Art’ way of composing a poem’.
